Albuquerque Int'l Balloon Fiesta 2017
Thursday
A Special Shapes Rodeo mass ascension and the only evening glow we were able to attend (the others were canceled due to high winds).
Friday
The second Special Shapes Rodeo of the festival, which focuses on the the character and non-standard balloon designs.
Saturday
This was the morning of our balloon flight with Rainbow Ryders, and we had perfect weather for it. Box-like conditions had us landing just a few blocks from the balloon field after 1hr 20min in the air. The flights are supposed to be an hour, but we had trouble finding a landing site. We eventually landed in a bank parking lot.
Sunday
The final day of the festival, but not a lot of photos here. The mass ascension was scrubbed due to high winds. The few balloons that attempted a static display (where they inflate but don't lift off) quickly gave up as they kept on threatening to blow over.
